According to the Kickstarter, another campaign will be added in 2021-2022. There isn’t much info about the story itself it seems that the game focuses more on the gameplay rather than the story. You play as a powerful agent of Prodeus, and you aim to seek flesh and bone, and destroy your creator and everyone that gets in your way. Only one campaign is available, called The Kingdom Between. ✔️ Amazing visuals, with various graphic settings that you can tinker with. ✔️ Has a level editor, very similar to DOOM’s snapmap. ✔️ Addicting gameplay, with multiple weapons to choose from and distinct enemies to kill.

It’s still in early access, so more features, guns and missions will be added in the future. I’ve been playing it in the past two days and I just love it. I would like to thank Humble Games for providing me a review copy of the game. The Kickstarter campaign began back in 2019, and it finally got released. Prodeus is a classic 1990s first-person shooter where you battle various zombies and demons in a hellish world. That being said, you have to own an account in order to play them, and it would take you a few seconds to create one in-game. It gives the game more replay value, and it’s interesting to see what the community can come up with. You can also create your own level/campaign using the level editor from scratch, and other people will be able to play it as well, and vice versa. Weapons have secondary fire modes you can charge a laser rifle to fire one powerful beam, and charge the shotgun to release a flaming slug. Every weapon feels unique, with its design, reloading animation and crisp sound effects. The gunplay is very satisfying, as there are multiple weapons to choose from, such as a rocket launcher and a machine gun, and you can feel their impact on enemies. It shows you the items and pickups as well, such as health, armor packs and weapons. There’s an automap, which allows you to view the whole map and your current position in it. There are also secrets that you have to watch out for, like camouflaged caves and hidden passages, so keep your eyes peeled. You can replay campaign missions and speedrun them as well, since all of them are timed, and you can compare your scores with your friends/other players worldwide. There are also optional missions, such as speedrun levels and trials. Some levels are locked and can only be accessed once you obtain a certain amount of runes, which you have to collect from previous levels. The missions have the same gameplay style, which is “find keycards, unlock the doors and look for the exit”, and I’m personally fine with that. The same goes for the enemies you will encounter slow-moving zombies at the start of the campaign, and they’ll evolve and get tougher later on.

You’ll pick up a pistol at the very beginning, and you get new weapons as you progress through the campaign.
